Procedure

The fibroblast procedure is a non-operative lifting. Fibroblastic skin tightening treatment uses a small electric arc that is delivered through a small probe. The probe itself does not penetrate the skin or even touch it. The treated tissues "coagulate" and "sublimate," as we avoid the spread of unwanted heat to the surrounding areas. The principle is to ionize gases in the air to create a small electric arc, similar to a tiny lightning, with which epidermal areas affected by aesthetic problems can be treated. This is a type of small laser that causes sublimation (light cutting) of the skin. Sublimation happens in very small spots on your skin, therefore it shrinks and tightens. The procedure was invented by NASA and has been on the market in Bulgaria for a year. It can be applied to a large number of areas and has particularly good results on a drooping eyelid.

Contraindications

• Patients with cardiovascular problems;

• Wearers of pacemakers or other electronic aids;

• Carriers of metal implants near the treatment area;

• Pregnant or lactating women;

• Patients treated with anticoagulants

Maintenance

You will notice a change a week after the therapy, with the final result visible after 6 to 8 weeks. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated after 3 months. As the treatment is long-lasting, it’s recommended to do one procedure a year to prolong and maintain the results.

Care after the procedure

Patients experience mild edema and swelling of the treated area, which will disappear after a few days. Light crusts form and fall off on their own after 7 to 15 days. Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 7-8 weeks. Sunscreen (SPF50) is mandatory for the next 90 days. In case of eye contour treatment, wear dark glasses. It is necessary to apply local treatment with antibiotic ointment for 6-9 days after the procedure
